Off the cuff conversations with someone clutching a camera in the street can often create viral moments.
Take these women, who were oblivious that they were talking to a Hollywood actor while taking part in the ‘$100 or a date with me’ trend, or, of course, you could just ask the Hawk Tuah Girl.
Haliey Welch became an online star overnight after vividly demonstrating her bedroom antics during a chance encounter with a YouTuber while she was strolling down the street last year.
Now, a clip which is eerily reminiscent of Welch’s viral moment is wowing the internet for quite the chilling reason.
Despite being just eight seconds in length, the footage has managed to spark huge chatter online and is spreading like wildfire…to epic, Hawk Tuah Girl level, proportions.
It shows a lad clutching a microphone and ‘recording’ an encounter he has with two young women who appear to be hitting the town – much like how Welch and her friend were.
He asks the pair: “What’s one move with AI that makes haters go crazy every time?”

One of the women then shares a rather cringe-worthy response which is littered with Gen Z jargon, saying: “Y’all got to give them that, this is wild, it’s over!
“We are cooked on that thread! You get me?”
But it’s not the mind-numbing mumbo jumbo which the blonde spouts that has got people talking – this video is going viral because it’s completely AI-generated.
Although it looks eerily authentic, the clip was actually created with Google’s ‘state-of-the-art video generation model’, Veo 3.
The AI tool, which allows users to add sound effects, ambient noise and even dialogue to their creations, was only launched on Tuesday (20 May), but it’s already causing quite a stir.
“Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing,” Eli Collins, Google DeepMind product vice president, said in a blog post.
The footage of the supposed street interview has racked up a whopping 14.4million views on X, and people have been left stunned by how real it appears to be.

You might be able to tell that it’s AI upon closer inspection, like some social media sleuths, but it’s easy to presume it’s legit if you’re not paying too much attention while you mindlessly scroll.
This has sparked a bit of concern among online users, as one person said: “It’s over for humanity.”
Another wrote: “Can’t believe it’s AI. So realistic.”
A third added: “Veo 3 just changed the game.”
A fourth commented: “AI’s droppin bangers without us even knowing, wild times.”
And a fifth chimed in saying: “Soon, no one will know what’s real or fake anymore.”
Others claimed that the wool wasn’t pulled over their eyes so easily, insisting they could easily tell that AI was involved.
“Those are very good, very close to believable except a little lankiness,” one said. “But not far away at all.”
A second added: “Disappearing people in background can tell you. But ngl, it’s actually impressive.”
A third wrote: “You can absolutely tell. You’d have to be a moron not to. But soon, that won’t be the case.”
While a fourth suggested: “It’s easy to sport this as AI. Nobody talks like that.”
