Ye (fka Kanye West) and Bianca Censori stole the spotlight at the 2025 Grammys — but not for any music.
Censori, a 30-year-old model and architect, caused a stir when she arrived in a barely-there ensemble that had fans and critics buzzing.

The rapper’s wife sent shockwaves through social media when she dramatically shed her oversized black fur coat, revealing an ultra-sheer, nude-colored minidress. She skipped a bra and underwear altogether, ensuring that cameras captured every angle of her body.
Calls for the Model’s Arrest
The stunt led to furious viewers calling for the model’s arrest, claiming the star must have some public indecency laws.

“I don’t understand how she doesn’t get arrested for public nudity???” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another questioned: “How is this not public indecency?”
A third user commented: “This just isn’t appropriate,” while another added: “I’m usually all for people dressing how they want, but this is just straight-up public indecency and shouldn’t be allowed.”
These cries were only amplified when it was revealed that a child present on the red carpet witnessed Censori shed her coat.

But did Censori actually break any official Grammys rules?
According to Raj Kapoor – one of the executive producers of the Grammys – the answer isn’t so clear-cut.
No Rules Broken?
Kapoor, who serves as the show’s EP and showrunner, weighed in on the controversy surrounding Censori’s controversial red carpet moment.
Addressing whether she violated any dress code regulations, Kapoor clarified that guests actually have more flexibility in their attire than the night’s performers.
“The dress code for Grammys guests is ‘artistic black-tie,’” Kapoor told PEOPLE on Tuesday. “But in the music industry, I guess that’s up for interpretation.”
Performers, on the other hand, face stricter guidelines.

“Obviously, there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices,” Kapoor added. “But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy would have to answer.”
With no official complaints filed — either to Grammy producers or the Los Angeles Police Department — Censori’s jaw-dropping look doesn’t appear to have any consequences.
But not everyone is convinced she made the choice herself.
Who’s Really in Control?
Since tying the knot with Ye in 2022, many have speculated that the 24-time Grammy winner has a heavy hand in Censori’s wardrobe — or lack thereof.
One top lip reader claimed that Ye whispered to his wife to “make a scene” just before she revealed the outfit.
In another video circulating online – analyzed by lip reader Nicola Hickling – Ye reportedly told Censori: “I’ll tell ‘em you’re on fire tonight, babe.”
A body language expert went even further, suggesting to the Daily Mail that Censori displayed signs of “fear” while on the carpet, arguing that her bold move was “the ultimate attention-seeking statement.”
The rapper’s latest Instagram posts (many of which are swiftly deleted mere hours later), have also been flooded with criticism from social media users, accusing the rapper of “controlling” behavior.
Ye, however, didn’t seem bothered by the backlash. In fact, he took to social media to gloat about the attention his wife’s outfit was getting.

“We beat the Grammies [sic],” he boasted on Instagram. Later, he added, “For clarity, February 4th 2025 my wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth.”
Adding fuel on the fire, Ye’s ex – actress and model Julia Fox – has also previously accused the rapper of appointing a team to “work” on her wardrobe.

Fox has also previously stated: “I regret that relationship so much. I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime. I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that’s saying a lot.”
Ye and Censori’s relationship has been a whirlwind since they secretly wed in 2022. Initially, it was unclear whether their marriage was legally binding, as they didn’t file for a marriage certificate right away, per TMZ.
Before becoming Mrs. Ye, Censori worked for his Yeezy brand, leading its design division after joining the company in November 2020.
As Ye’s second wife, she follows in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian, who was married to the rapper for nearly eight years. Their divorce was finalized in November 2022, with the pair sharing four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
