The first trailer for Fantastic 4: First Steps, the MCU’s rebooted version of Marvel’s first family, has dropped.
The film will be led by Pedro Pascal, who joins the MCU for the first time as Mr Fantastic, and is joined by Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.

Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Sarah Niles are all lined up in undisclosed roles.
Fans have speculated Lyonne could be playing Alicia Masters, a love interest for The Thing.
Meanwhile, the new trailer gave us our first look at a (comic accurate) Galactus.

The planet-eating villain will be voiced by Ralph Ineson (The Witch).
Meanwhile, Julia Garner will be playing an alternate female version of the Silver Surfer.
Who could John Malkovich be playing?

Eagle-eyed fans will have spotted John Malkovich as a mysterious bearded man in the trailer.,
His role hasn’t been revealed, but he’s rumoured to be playing Ivan Kragoff/Red Ghost, a deepcut supervillain from the Fantastic Four comics who can become invisible.
The film is the latest iteration of the Fantastic 4, following the Miles Teller led version from 2015, and the version with Chris Evans as the Human Torch from 2005.
This movie marks the first full film to be created by Marvel following Disney’s acquisition of Fox.
Matt Shakman, who directed Wandavision, will be directing the film, and left a Star Trek project in order to helm the latest outing of Marvel’s first family.
The trailer confirms a previous interview with Kevin Feige hinting that, although it is set in the 1960s New York, it is not the New York we know.

Feige said in an interview with The Official Marvel Podcast: “There was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol and there was a cityscape in the corner of that image.
“There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn’t look exactly like the New York that we know, or the New York that existed in the ‘60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I’ll say.”
Marvel’s first trailer for the reboot, which comes out this summer, has been received well by fans.
One replied saying: “I’m seated. the theatre employees are scared and asking me to leave because it’s “not released” yet but i am simply too seated.”
Another replied saying: “So far so good, tbh. Regardless of whether the movie ends up good or bad, it at least has the consistent theme. Based on the trailer, the movie has ‘the feeling of identity’.
“Not trying to act a certain way, other than creating their own. The feeling of a Fantastic 4 movie.”
