The sun was high in the sky, and Bibi’s stomach let out a loud growl. He patted his belly and sighed, “I’m so hungry! I need food, and I need it now!”
Bibi looked around the kitchen, but there was no sign of his dad. The fruit bowl was empty, and the snack jar was nowhere to be found. “What am I going to do?” Bibi muttered, pacing back and forth.
Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. “I’ll call Dad! He always makes the best meals.”

Bibi grabbed the jungle phone—an old conch shell that Dad had turned into a fun communication device. He held it to his ear and shouted, “Dad! Come quick! I’m starving!”
On the other end, Dad was busy repairing a birdhouse when he heard Bibi’s urgent call. “What’s wrong, Bibi?” Dad asked, slightly alarmed.
“I’m hungry, Dad! Can you come and cook something delicious?” Bibi said dramatically, as if he hadn’t eaten in days.
Dad chuckled. “Alright, Bibi. I’ll be there in a flash. Hang tight!”
Within minutes, Dad arrived, carrying a basket filled with fresh ingredients. “Let’s see… How about I make your favorite banana pancakes with a side of jungle fruit salad?”
Bibi’s eyes lit up. “Yes, please! That sounds amazing!”
Dad got to work, mixing pancake batter while Bibi sat at the counter, eagerly watching every move. “Can I help, Dad?” Bibi asked, bouncing with excitement.
“Of course,” Dad said, handing Bibi a small whisk. “Stir this while I cut up the fruit.”
Bibi whisked with all his might, accidentally splattering a bit of batter on his nose. “Oops!” he giggled, licking it off.
Meanwhile, Dad chopped bananas, mangoes, and papayas, arranging them beautifully on a plate. He then poured the pancake batter onto the hot griddle, filling the air with a sweet, comforting aroma.
When the pancakes were golden brown, Dad stacked them high and drizzled them with honey. “Here you go, Bibi,” he said, placing the feast on the table.
Bibi wasted no time digging in. He took a big bite of the pancake and let out a happy sigh. “Mmm, this is the best breakfast… I mean lunch… ever!”
Dad laughed and sat down beside him, enjoying the moment. “I’m glad you like it, Bibi. Remember, next time you’re hungry, just let me know. I’m always here to help.”
Bibi nodded, his mouth full of pancake. “You’re the best, Dad!”
After finishing his meal, Bibi leaned back in his chair, feeling completely satisfied. “Thanks, Dad. Now I have enough energy to play all day!”
Dad smiled and ruffled Bibi’s fur. “That’s my boy. Just don’t forget to clean up before you head out.”
Bibi grinned and hopped off the chair, ready for his next adventure.
