It was a sunny afternoon, and Bibi was playing in the garden while Dad worked nearby, fixing the fence. Bibi loved chasing butterflies and rolling in the grass, but when he looked up from his game, Dad was nowhere to be seen.
“Dad? Where are you?” Bibi called out, his little voice shaky with worry.
He ran to the fence where Dad had been moments ago, but it was empty. Bibi’s heart started to race. “Dad! Dad!” he cried, running around the garden, his eyes searching every corner.
He checked the kitchen, the living room, and even under the table, but Dad wasn’t there. Tears welled up in Bibi’s eyes as he panicked. “Where did you go, Dad?”
Suddenly, Bibi heard a familiar voice coming from the garage. “Bibi, what’s wrong?”
Bibi turned and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. There was Dad, standing with a toolbox in hand, looking concerned.
Bibi threw himself into Dad’s arms, tears streaming down his face. “I thought you left me!”
Dad hugged Bibi tightly, wiping away his tears. “Oh, Bibi, I would never leave you. I just went to the garage to get some tools. I’m so sorry I scared you.”
Bibi sniffled, his head resting on Dad’s shoulder. “Promise you’ll always tell me where you’re going?”
Dad smiled and held him close. “I promise, Bibi. And you can always come with me, wherever I go.”
Feeling reassured, Bibi clung to Dad for a while longer before finally letting go. From that day on, Dad made sure to always let Bibi know where he’d be—and Bibi never had to cry or panic again.
